FAQ | Microwave Issue | Microwave Repair

1. The microwave has no display or no power.

Make sure the unit has power or is plugged into the outlet and that the circuit breaker hasn’t tripped. If the problem persists, you may need to replace the fuse or you may need to check to make sure the microwave door switch is not shorted or defective as this can cause the fuse or breaker to trip.

2. The microwave is not heating food.

There are several possible reasons for this. First, check that the power level is set correctly. If it’s too low, the food won’t get hot enough. Conversely, if it’s too high, the food could end up overcooked.

A common known cause is that the magnetron is defective. This is the component that generates the microwaves and if it’s defective, the food will not be heated properly. You will need a qualified technician to perform the replacement of the magnetron as it is possible to be electrocuted, which can be fatal if you do not have the proper knowledge to perform the repair.

3. The microwave is making strange noises.

If you hear strange noises coming from your microwave, it could be due to a loose part or something caught in the fan blade inside the microwave. First, check for any objects that might be causing the noise and remove them if necessary. If the noise persists, it’s best to call a technician to take a look at the unit just for safety never attempt to repair this by yourself if you are not experienced enough. Watching Youtube videos does not guarantee your safety for your self and your property.

4. Microwave door error or is not closing properly.

This is often caused by a problem with the door latch becoming loose or defective. Make sure that the latch is clean and that it’s not obstructed in any way. If the problem persists, you may need to replace the door latch assembly.

5. The microwave is leaking radiation.

If you suspect that your microwave is leaking radiation, it’s important to have it checked out by a qualified technician as soon as possible. Radiation leaks can be dangerous and should not be taken lightly.

These are only a few of the most common problems that can occur with microwaves. If you’re experiencing any other issues, or if you’re unsure of how to fix the problem, it’s always best to call a qualified technician from Advance Appliance Ltd. to get a proper assessment of your appliances.
